Collaboration is increased through 3D building information models (BIM) and cloud computing and mobile technology. Owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors are communicating with greater understanding and engagement to make the most informed decisions for project success. Integrated project teams are changing the way we transform communities and skylines.

The ability to model a building virtually first, shifts risk to a place where it can be managed with minimal impact. Coordination meetings now incorporate the clash detection and resolution of MEP subcontractor models for conflict before being built. Holding these ​virtual reviews increases the level of quality control early, to reduce costly field conflicts later.

Technology is connecting the field and office in ways never done before. iPad tablets bring mobility to project information, daily logs, RFIs and electronic punch lists. Digital plan tables incorporate up-to-date digital drawing sets and full 3D models. Mobile technology increases the speed of analysis and resolving conflicts on site resulting in reduced time and cost.
