A moral Responsibility

Safety really does come first around here.

At McCownGordon, our associates adhere to strict procedures for both themselves and those working on a project site. No matter the job. No matter the circumstances. We provide a safe working environment. Which is why our Experience Modification Rate (EMR) is lower than the overall industry average.

McCownGordon recently awarded highest honors at Builders' Association Safety Excellence Award.

McCownGordon's safety culture and track record is successful and reputable due to the involvement, leadership and dedication of our management teams and associates. As a leader in the construction industry, we empower and hold all associates accountable to higher standards in order to enhance the safety and health of all those working on a project site.

We strive to achieve an elite safety culture for all project sites. We are able to do this by constantly updating and improving safety procedure in order to provide maximum protection, performance and safety. We believe in continually setting the bar higher.

Our safety culture helps to ensure safety performance success. We implement and enforce the safety culture through technology and training. All employees in both the field and operations partake in safety training. The program consists of ongoing training to keep all McCownGordon associates updated with the most accurate safety information.

In addition to our training program, our safety team uses technology to provide a more efficient experience for preplanning, audits, corrective actions and training. The software allows for us to streamline the process for reports and audits, and puts it all in one place.

McCownGordon's safety programs and leadership has led to awards and recognition. Due to our organization safety procedures and training, we have accomplished the goal of over 2 million man hours without a loss time incident.

McCownGordon has been actively involved in OSHA Build Safe Partnership Program since 2008. The working relationship with OSHA helps improve our safety and health performance as well as educates our associates on the best way to implement effective safety and health management systems.
